Who we are
A student voice rooted in Mukutani
The Ilchamus Student Association (ISA) is the association of Ilchamus students from Mukutani Sub-county in Baringo County, which covers Ilchamus Ward and Mukutani Ward. We exist to serve our community by improving access to education, supporting students in need and building a culture of accountability.
ISA is governed by the ISA Executive, which members elect every year. Our work is education-centred and open to every student, regardless of politics, religion, gender or clan.

Land and sustainable development
Promote proper land policies: resource management, equitable distribution and environmental conservation.
Educational opportunities
Awareness and motivation campaigns with county education stakeholders, and advocacy against FGM and early girl-child marriage.
HIV/AIDS and drug abuse sensitisation
Workshops, seminars, dramas, and members volunteering for Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT).
Cultural preservation
Discourage retrogressive cultural practices while promoting progressive Ilchamus culture.

A yearly gathering for members to pray together for the association and its students.

Fill in the registration form. Your application is sent to the ISA Executive, who review it and contact you.
Who can join: any Ilchamus student from Mukutani Sub-county (Ilchamus Ward or Mukutani Ward) studying for a degree, diploma or certificate at a university, tertiary college or vocational institution.
- Attend, speak and vote at general meetings
- Stand for office in the association
- Take part in all ISA activities and events
- Membership card once you pay the registration fee
How to join ISA
- Check you are eligible. You must be a student at an institution of higher learning from the Ilchamus community, with a Kenyan ID or passport.
- Fill in the registration form with your name, phone number, institution, year of study and ward.
- Wait for approval. The Executive Committee approves each application.
- Pay the registration fee (Ksh 150 per the constitution) and receive your membership card.

ISA is guided by its constitution and by the ISA Executive that members elect.
Constitution
The supreme governing document of the association. Head office: Marigat Town, Baringo County. Area of jurisdiction: Baringo County.
Membership
Open to any student at an institution of higher learning from the Ilchamus community, holding a Kenyan ID or passport. Registration fee: Ksh 150.
Annual General Meeting
Held every 30 December at the headquarters in Marigat, electing office bearers and reviewing accounts.
ISA Executive
The Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, Coordinator, Prayer Coordinator, and 10 Regional Representatives appointed by the Executive.
